Lino during lockdown.

Some time ago, we did a quick review on Lino, the then new chair from Herman Miller - were very positive about it, particularly given its price point.

It has just occurred to me that this little chair has been my faithful companion for the past 8 weeks and I have spent more time than ever sitting in this particular chair - not good I know!

However, if we compare this to my regular working day, I usually take meetings away from the desk, use a choice of settings for different tasks and often I get out of the office throughout the day. But like many of you during lock down, I have still been jumping from meeting to meeting, collaborating with our teams and all without leaving my Lino chair - again not good. But the reason I write this and the purposes of this post is that I have carried out all my daily tasks with discomfort at all! In fact, despite also working in a confined corner of the house and some days, well over 10 hours my comfort has not been disrupted and obviously ergonomically I have been very well supported.

My new faithful companion…

Ironically and again testament to this little chair, I also brought an Aeron home along with a sit stand desk. My daughter has managed to claim this set up whilst she also works from home. Not once have I been tempted to swap chairs. Honestly!

Sometimes the best products are defined when they just work and in the absence of any issues, or we no longer have them, we simply don’t think too much about them.

Well done Herman Miller and designers Sam Hecht and Kim Colin!

We need to shout about this chair a lot more, it’s most definitely in my top 5! If anyone is thinking of a very good and reasonably priced chair for home working, Lino should definitely go onto your shortlist.

Oh and of course we would be very happy to help you get one! 😉
